Brief & The Challenge
Aidsfonds
Aidsfonds works tirelessly to ensure that everyone affected by HIV—especially key and vulnerable communities—has access to healthcare, justice, and support. When capturing their work on the ground in Uganda, the primary challenge wasn’t just documenting health interventions; it was building absolute trust with local advocates and key population leaders to share deeply personal stories on camera.
The objective was to create authentic, respectful visual stories showcasing front-line HIV prevention, human rights advocacy, and community-led healthcare progress without compromising participant safety or dignity.
Our Solution & Role
Story To Video acted as the field production partner and documentary crew on location across Uganda. We deployed a minimal, agile crew to safeguard trust, maintain discretion, and build a safe environment for every interviewee.
By prioritizing ethical consent protocols and unobtrusive field techniques, we captured real-world healthcare delivery exactly as it happens—from urban clinic outreach to peer-to-peer advocacy—allowing authentic human resilience and community impact to speak for itself.
The Impact
The resulting documentary assets provided Aidsfonds with powerful, human-centered visual stories for international advocacy campaigns, donor reporting, and social media engagement.
By capturing the reality of front-line work in Uganda, the videos helped bridge the gap between community-led actions and global decision-makers, demonstrating the direct value of localized HIV programming and human rights initiatives.
Note: Selected campaign materials are managed under partner distribution rights.
